Thank you for sharing your talents for gardening and resistance. It truly resonates with me. Gardening has been my lifelong therapy. For the past year, I've been tackling the winter creeper which has taken over part of my yard - digging it out by hand. It feels so good to get my hands in the dirt and work on those roots all the while thinking about rooting out the divisiveness and injustice that has taken our country. Looking forward to future posts!
Ooh! I love the idea of pulling those invasives as therapy for "rooting out divisiveness and injustice!" What a wonderful way to put your work into a helpful context. LOVE!
Well said! And there is always hope, like daffodils in the Spring. And from the mom who was the recipient of all your post-op TLC thank you, thank you! And for getting MY garden ready for the season, I reaped double rewards. ❤️❤️❤️
Fabulous analogy that we can smile at and relate to. Glad your mom's doing well.
Here in northern Wyoming, spring gardening chores that do NOT involve cleaning up leaves from garden beds are keeping me fairly sane. There were about 1,000 likeminded souls at the Hands Off rally in Billings, MT, which felt amazing in such a red area. We can have hope!
I love all of your posts but I do have a hard time keeping up. I wonder if you could combine some of the content? E.g. maybe you can tack on a "resistance gardening tip" at the end of each post, instead of having it on a separate day? Also, I assume you have a mixture of novices like me and people who are much more knowledgeable - potentially you could have one "beginner tips" day and one that's "for the experts". Just throwing some ideas out there. Honestly I will keep following regardless of what you choose to do, and I'll keep up as well as I can!
Nancy, those are great ideas! Thank you!! I just kind of started this with a little bit of a plan -- and now it is time to really get systems in place so it is all sustainable. For me -- and for you! Thanks for chiming in!
Beautiful, Angela, thank you! I love your voice and
gardening wisdom. I am a new gardener late in life in Boise, ID, and it seems like we share many environmental conditions (high and dry) and political convictions (progressive ride or die). Glad to hear your mom is doing well—looking forward to following you in the gardening year ahead.

I love this Angela!
Thanks, Kate! Looking for hope anywhere we can find it!
